React Right is the SSI training program that teaches you how to respond when someone needs first aid. You develop practical skills in first aid, CPR, AED use and emergency oxygen administration.
The course is not only for divers. The skills you learn help prepare you to respond to medical emergencies on land, on a boat or during diving activities.
Step by step, you learn how to assess an emergency, provide first aid and respond calmly and effectively until further medical assistance is available.
React Right combines four important areas of first aid and emergency response. You learn the essential principles and practise the key techniques hands-on.
The React Right course at Duikcentrum van de Ven consists of theory and practical exercises. You do not need to dive for this course.
The minimum age for participation at Duikcentrum van de Ven is 12 years . A reasonable level of physical fitness is required for the practical exercises.

At Duikcentrum van de Ven, everything required for the training is arranged for you.
You complete the digital learning online before the practical session. We then work through the hands-on skills step by step, at the same calm and structured pace as our other SSI courses.
Complete the SSI digital learning in advance through MySSI / the DiveSSI app. React Right does not involve diving, and no diving certification is required.
Practise how to assess an emergency, provide first aid and perform CPR safely.

Apply your skills in practical scenarios and complete the SSI React Right program after successful assessment.

We work with a maximum of four participants per instructor, leaving plenty of time for personal attention, repetition and unhurried practice.
